ON PAGE OPTIMIZATION
There are many processes like
modifications that takes place in creating websites. It is called On Page
Optimization or On Site Optimization.
The modifications may include:
· Title Optimization
· Meta Description
· H1, H2 Optimization
· Content Optimization
· Image Optimization
· Keyword Optimization
· Anchor text Optimization
Title Optimization
It is used in head section and it is
used by google to identify the page while crawling. In absence of SEO title or
in presence of non relevant titles, Google uses title as H1 or H2 from the body
portion. SEO titles can have only 55-60 characters. Meaningful description
title or keywords help in caching and gives back excellent results.
Meta Description
A brief description about on page is
included in it. It is shown in the search result portion which is known as snippet.
The URL, title, meta description is included in a basic snippet.
How to optimize meta description:

Should be brief.
Should provide a relevant content about our page.
Avoid grammatical errors.
Avoid spelling mistakes.
155-160 characters can be included in a page.
Below 160 characters can only be included in a blog.
Should be impressive and attractive.
Should be unique.
If we fail to add meta description in
our websites, the content of the page is considered and shown as description in
snippet. But if google doesn’t find a relevant content, Open Directory Projects
which shows that page will be considered. The open directories are controlled by
volunteer’s, so its trustworthy. NOODP is a meta tag that tells do not use the description
provide at the open directory projects.
Meta Tag
These tags are used in head sections.
They provide relevant information to bots to crawl our page.
Canonical Meta Tag
It eliminates content duplications.

OG Tag
It is used for Open Graph
Optimization. It allows to customize an article or page shared on social media.
View porting Metatag, KeywordMetatag are also types of metatags.
Content Optimization
The content of the page should be relevant, fresh, unique and user friendly.
Complex and lengthy sentences should be avoided. Use simple sentences with maximum 20 words.
Should be easily understood by the user.
Use the focusing keyword in first sentence and in the body portion at least 2 or 3 times at visible areas.
Avoid keyword Stuffing.
Arrange keywords before full stop or comma. It helps with the crawling as the bots stop at them.
The content must be in easily readable manner.
The contents- font, color and size must be clear to the user.
The content should be easily readable on all devices.
- Use focusing keyword in bold. It doesn’t increases the page rank. But it will draw the attention of the user.
Keyword Optimization
h1, h2, h3, h4.. tags are used. The h1 tag should provide necessary information about the page. It can have about 7-8 words.
H2 tag can be used more than one for long passages. H3 tag can be used more than two-three times. Avoid grammar and spelling mistakes. The content under all tags should be relevant to the heading.
Image Optimization
Using images in website helps to make the website more interesting to the user. But it is important to optimize the image to make easy for Google to understand it.
While adding images in website:
The images should give the user a clear idea about the page.
The image should be relevant to the content of the page.
Give a relevant filename while saving with a hyphen if for two words.
Add relevant alt name so Google could understand what the image is about.
Add optimized images and attractive images.
